New Year, Same Bulls*!#

Image result for new years eve 2015It's almost that time of year when we see all the posts saying "New Year, New Me".  Every year we set resolutions that ultimately fall to the wayside by Valentine's Day.  So instead of falling victim to the continuous lame cycle of failed New Year's attempts, I've decided to start now.

Image result for sistine chapelThey say that in order for something to become a habit, you have to do it for 30days.  For a lot of people that's not a hard task to accomplish, but if you're like me, it's synonymous with being asked to replicate the artwork in the Sistine Chapel!!

So I'm going to start small; chunk it.  My resolution, like it has always been since I was like 10 years old, is to lose weight.  Not because I don't enjoy my ever so luscious curves, but for once in life I have to concede that my weight is putting my health at risk.  With that being said, my goal is to do some type of physical activity for 7 days; a week.

Today, I have been doing wall push-ups.  Simple, I know.  Every time I use the restroom, 50 wall push-ups.  A lot of times, when we have a challenge ahead of us, it can seem so magnanimous, that we feel defeated before we even start.  So 7 days, for me, seems doable.  Everyone's battle and journey is different.  You have to find something that works for you.  If 7 days is too much for you, then try 3 days or multiple activities for 1 day.  But the main thing is to do SOMETHING!!!  Don't become stagnant with any goal that you have in life.

Hopefully, in a week, I will be able to say I was successful and be a week closer to achieving my goal.  Stay focused!  Stay Curvy!!
